How to make Apple Tea
Pour water to a pot and add ginger, cinnamon and black pepper (if using). Bring this to a boil on a medium heat & simmer for 5 to 7 mins, until you smell the cinnamon.
Meanwhile rinse, peel and chop the apple to small bite sized pieces or grate it.
Add the apple & tea to the boiling spiced water and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Turn off the heat and cover the pot.
Let rest for 5 mins & strain the apple tea, pressing down the pulp. Add sweetener & lemon juice if you want.
Serve apple tea warm or hot. You can also eat up the warm mushy apple.
