How to make Turmeric Tea
Option 1 - No brew: Add turmeric powder, black pepper, ghee/oil to a cup. Bring 1 cup water to a rolling boil in a pot or in a kettle and pour to the cup. Stir well and cover. Let steep for 2 mins.
Option 2 in a Saucepan: Mix together water, turmeric and black pepper in a small pot/pan. Bring to a boil and Simmer for 4 to 5 mins if using ground turmeric or for 8 to 10 mins if using fresh root. Stir in the ghee or oil and strain to a cup.
Serving: You may stir in lemon juice or honey for a more palatable drink but only in warm turmeric tea (not hot). If you feel the Turmeric Tea is too strong for your taste, simply add more hot water (not cold) to dilute.
